Privacy policy

We collect as little as we need to post you art, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It's written in the spirit of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, mobile number, delivery address, the plan you chose, and, for gifts, the recipient's name, address, optional phone number and your note.
• When you join the email list: your email address and when you signed up.
• When you pay: payment is handled by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of payment and the last few digits or type of payment method, never your full card or bank details.
• When you browse: basic, privacy-friendly analytics (pages visited, the link that brought you here, device type) so we can tell what's working. Our host, Cloudflare, briefly uses your IP address to block spam; we don't keep it.

Why we use it

• To make and post your envelope, send payment links, receipts and tracking, and answer your questions.
• To send you letters and updates from Jui, only if you ticked the box or joined the list.
• To keep the site secure and stop fraud and spam.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the studio, each bound by their own privacy terms:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers your order details to our inbox by email.
• Razorpay processes payments.
• Delhivery receives the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your envelope.
• PostHog provides our site analytics.
• Our email provider, where order emails are kept and from which we write to you.

We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We don't keep a separate customer database: your order reaches our studio inbox as an email. Order records are kept for as long as you're a subscriber and then for up to 8 years, because tax law requires us to keep sales records. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you,
• correct or update it,
• delete it (where we're not required to keep it by law),
• stop sending you marketing emails, any time, using the link in every email or by writing to us.

Grievance officer

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, contact our grievance officer, Rutuja Dawkhar, at hello@zui.gallery. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a small amount of local storage and cookies to remember where you came from during a visit and to run analytics. We don't use advertising cookies.

Children

Our site is meant for adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and tell subscribers by email.
